offer private sessions for PTSD recovery, mental health management, and nervous system regulation.
Therapeutic Yoga is a type of mind-body therapy. It’s clinical approach is rooted in the understanding of the bi-directional communication via the nervous system through efferent and afferent nerves. Working alongside this bi-directional communication channel to help ease, relax, and restore the nervous system functioning. Therapeutic Yoga works from the understanding of how the brain effects the body and the body effects the mind. Addressing how emotions can impact the body and create illness, misalignment, and tension.
Therapeutic Yoga integrates both Western science and Eastern practices for a holistic approach to addressing health and wellness. Applying specifically yogic practices (mindfulness, meditation, breath-work, physical postures, movement) to help alleviate and manage psychological, physiological, and neurological pain.
